Dan and Bill talk about their plans to chase the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 on its trip through North Eastern Pennsylvania on its way to Philadelphia for the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary on this episode of the Stack Talk Podcast. They suggest some of the best spots to see the Big Boy and R&N 2102 on their tag team trips on the Reading and Northern system before heading back to Steam Town in Scranton. They also explore the route the Big Boy will take in early July from Scranton to Philly and back out to Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, PA. They also share tips and tricks for everyone to stay safe while viewing this historic steam locomotive make its cross-country trip.
